We ran it on 61 real business websites
On October 17, 2026 we scanned 61 small business websites picked at random from roofers, locksmiths, auto repair shops and law firms, the same way the free scan works for you. Then we counted what was missing and every fix the tool wrote.
What we found
Most sites get the basics right, a sitemap, https and a title on every page. The gaps are in the parts AI answers and rich results read.

What the tool wrote
Every fix is built from the site's own pages. Nothing is made up.
Before and after the fixes
We took five of those sites, installed the fixes the tool wrote for each one in front of the live site, and scanned the same pages again. Nothing on the sites themselves was changed.

Some fixes need you: missing H1 headings, thin pages and your license numbers. The tool lists them and tells you how. A site that serves one app shell for every address gains the least, because each page has nothing unique to build from.
This is the Rank Any Site score, which measures what search engines and AI tools can read on your pages. Nobody can promise a ranking, and we do not.
How we ran it
- Sites were drawn at random from public business listings for four trades: 19 roofers, 17 locksmiths, 17 auto repair shops and 8 law firms.
- Each site was scanned with the live tool at rankanysite.com, up to about 15 pages per site, at a slow pace.
- For before and after, the fixes ran through our Cloudflare edge install in a test setup in front of each live site, and the same pages were read again minutes later. Every point gained is in the page source, which is what Google and AI crawlers read.
- 30 more sites could not be read (down, or blocking crawlers) and are left out.
- The tool reads the page source. Schema added later by JavaScript is not counted, so the schema numbers are a floor.
- We do not publish which sites we scanned. They are real businesses who did not ask to be in a study.
